Wrapping up our 4th day at Presbyterian St. Lukes tonight with no health updates for baby Smith (no news is good news right now).
Emily has settled into a pretty steady daily routine consisting of the following:
Morning
Doctor rounds, breakfast, baby heart monitoring, pool therapy
Afternoon
Lunch, baby heart monitoring, pool therapy
Evening
Dinner, baby heart monitoring
Sprinkle in several nurse visits, some trashy television, and light reading suprisingly fills a day. However I can attest that Emily has well passed the thrill of staying in bed all day and is ready to regain her active life. There have been several beautiful flowers, baloons, and goodies delivered to our room to make it more warm and inviting.
In addition we've continued to take steps to make Denver our temporary home including the following: having our mail forwarded to the Ronald McDonald House, sampling the neighboorhood cuisine, and getting a membership to the local YMCA.
Finally for loved friends and family members who cannot make the long journey out to Denver we've enabled a skype account for video chatting, our ID is "smiths_92". Right now we are leveraging our mobile phone capabilities but will have our personal laptop set up by weeks end. Feel free to give us a call or chat (evenings are best).
We continue to appreciate all the love and support from everyone.
Love,
Steve, Emily and baby Smith
Remember to avoid J.R.'s as part of your local cuisine sampling.
