One week anniversary in Denver

Today was our one week anniversary in Denver, hard to believe that we will be here another 6-8 weeks, but we have begun to find our routine with seeing Toler in the NICU and finding areas around town via bus for our shopping and dining needs.

Toler's steady improvement
Toler continues to make strides in the right direction to graduate from the Intensive NCIU to a less intensive NCIU unit.  Our nurse moved Toler into his own bachelor pad tonight (only preemie in the room), not due to his health but to make space for other preemies arriving.  Note that it took his father 22 years to get his first bachelor pad, Toler already has a leg up on his dad.

In addition Toler's breathing continues to improve and his oxygen levels are near non-assistance levels, we are hoping that his CPAP will be removed in days.  Also Toler is fully digesting his food and beginning to pass bowles, this is important to help reduce his Bilirubin count to eliminate his Jaundice

Finally Emily was able to "Kangaroo" 'lil Toler, I know both really enjoyed their special time together.

Emily's Shopping Continues
Those of you who know Emily well will not be surprised to know that we were able to find some posh baby clothing stores in Denver.  If not for his new bachelor pad, his new threads will no doubt make 'lil Toler the envy of all other preemies in Presbyterian St. Luke's ward.

I continue to stress to everyone that your thoughts & prayers are making a difference, everyday we are blessed with good news to our little boys continued growth.  Emily and I cannot thank everyone enough for your support.

Love,
Steve, Emily and Toler
