Mr. Big Shot

As our departure date nears, Toler participated in a photo shoot one of the NICU nurses offers to all preemie babies and their parents.  For the big event, Toler's feeding tube was removed so he could show off.  Shortly after the shoot, Mom and Dad arrived to a wide awake baby.

Hello Mommy

Toler is also continuing to progress on his bottle feeds, now taking 3 bottle feeds in a row.  The ultimate goal will be every feed (8 times daily), once he does this for two days consecutively he will be ready to go home.  Also as Toler is increasing his quantity, each feed (took 60 cc's tonight, typically around 45) he will move from taking his cares every 3 hours to every 4 hours.

To celebrate all of the good news, Toler sported his new onesie for both of his aunts.

Coming soon, Grandpa and Grandma Smith will be making an appearance in SmithColoradoBaby and will be meeting Toler in person tomorrow.  Both parties have waited years for this union!
