I can see clearly now

Toler had his preemie eye exam this morning to test for retinopathy of prematurity.  The test looks to identify an eye disease which occurs in premature babies resulting in scarring and retinal detachment.  The good news is that Toler did not show any retinopathy of prematurity.  He does however have immature retinal blood vessels, this is normal for a premature baby of his age.  Toler will have a follow-up check in a couple weeks to ensure his eyes are still developing normally.  Dad is pretty sure Toler has better eye sight that mommy without her glasses or contacts right now.

Jeepers...creepers...take a look at my peepers
Toler is continuing to learn to take a bottle, and his parents are learning to give a preemie a bottle.  He is doing well and continuing to gain weight daily.  A long day of eye exams, bottles, and handling took a lot of both Son and Dad.

Tuckered out...
 Love,
Steve, Emily and our wide-eyed little Toler
